Good Friday begins a battle plan
So against evil the world could stand
Jesus Christ a lamb to the slaughter
For every son and every daughter
Shedding His blood to pay the price
For us the ultimate sacrifice
So much love and so much care
All our sins He came to bare
He was pure and without flaw
Yet, He was beaten, his skin they tore
Condemned to death for you and me
A sacrifice to set us free
An innocent man beaten to death
Until He breathed His last breath
The Son of God was so denied
He was torchured and crucified
They pierced His side with a sword
By it all we were restored
A messiah who endured the cross
For the hopeless and the lost
All of these we need to mention
A selfless Act that brought redemption
All our quilt and all our shame
Was taken away in Jesus Name
Once the final Act was done
By His death the battle was won.
