Good Friday begins a battle planA
So against evil the world could standB
-
Jesus Christ a lamb to the slaughterC
For every son and every daughterC
-
Shedding His blood to pay the priceD
For us the ultimate sacrificeD
-
So much love and so much careE
All our sins He came to bareE
-
He was pure and without flawF
Yet He was beaten his skin they toreG
-
Condemned to death for you and meH
A sacrifice to set us freeH
-
An innocent man beaten to deathI
Until He breathed His last breathI
-
The Son of God was so deniedJ
He was torchured and crucifiedJ
-
They pierced His side with a swordK
By it all we were restoredK
-
A messiah who endured the crossL
For the hopeless and the lostM
-
All of these we need to mentionN
A selfless Act that brought redemptionN
-
All our quilt and all our shameO
Was taken away in Jesus NameO
-
Once the final Act was doneN
By His death the battle was wonN
