| Our aspirations and free thought shall be force mortgaged | F |
| and end up with corrupt and incompetent governance | G |

| Party in power and the legislators won t ask you as to | I |
| what is good for you and promulgate laws with the wisdom | J |
| which they think they have and the taken for granted mandate | K |
| Whether Police system protects your life and property or not | L |
| whether you committed a crime or not face the institutionalized the extortion | M |
| Babus extract the bribes from every possible soul | N |
| making nation s economy anemic | O |
| Institutions won t ask you what needs to be taught | P |
| as Education is bereft of values creativity and life skills | Q |
| we remain mute spectators | R |
| As they levy any amount of tax unilaterally even on essentials | S |
| we refrain to raise our voice even it is breaking our financial backbones | T |
| When Justice is denied with endless delays | U |
| still we prefer to suffer as silent scapegoats | V |
| where even almighty is washing off his hands from divine benevolence | G |
| Do we need to be told by pseudo custodians of culture and religion as to | I |
| what we eat what to wear and whom to marry | A |
| Now the cage is tightening to stifle the freedom of thought and free speech | W |
| where any dissent is smeared with hues of sedition | M |
| It may not be long for it to metamorphize into noose around our necks | X |

Poet's note: Lately, democracies across the world are turning into veiled autocracy system, where majority is proving to be brutal authority. Parties and leaders, once they receive the people's mandate to govern next 4 or 5 years, they are trying to implement their hidden agenda by inciting people on socio-religions divides. This is either to consolidate their vote banks, to perpetuate their power to govern, to amass wealth with crony capitalism with utter disregard for people's welfare, progress and country's economy. In this backdrop, as keen observer of National and International affairs, strongly believe that these lines are need of the hour and hope it shall spur the populace across the continents into planned action.
