One Africa Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

We were once victims altogetherA
Once slaves in our homelandB
The struggle we fought togetherA
Fought against the unjust systemsC
Fought for freedom and changeD
All pain and agony we sharedE
Locked up in the same jailF
Handcuffed to the same chainG
Yoked to the same iron yokeH
Whipped with the same sjambokH
Now the enemy is vanquishedI
So must be greediness and hatredJ
Let peace and unity define our brotherhoodK
Same colour same genealogical rootsL
One Africa one continent one identityM
