When I was a kidA
Smiles filled my faceB
Even with porridge for lunchC
I still felt comfortedA
Wiping down to the last dropD
Full stomach for a fool in meE
-
When I was still freshF
Walking with buttocks showingG
Out of buttons wasn't my businessH
Dirty and smelling clothes were goodI
Blossoming inside the without complainJ
-
When I was growingG
I learnt to avoid porridgeK
And demand for ugaliL
Watching not their struggles upM
Cries when not well fedN
-
When I was developingG
I learnt not to accept a piece of ugaliL
Bread and chapati were mainJ
Sucking his pockets evenO
With no thank you noteP
Grabbed with no forceQ
-
Now that I'm all grownR
Burger and pizza are main optionsS
Taking from him after a mjengoG
Grabbing it all for a descent make upM
No gratitude or clarificationT
-
ThenU
He doesn't complain after allL
He smiles when I pleadV
And gives when I begG
He borrows when I demandW
And lacks when I haveX
-
DadY
A hero above heroesZ
He gets crucified I eat friedA2
He gets beaten I keep bitingG
He sleeps hungry while I eat angrilyL
To God blessings to my dadY
