The Tree Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF GHGI

In the field stood a treeA
An autumn's tree in summer's timeB
Leaves were brown and some were downC
It wasn't hers to blameD
-
Then falls one in my gazeE
Waving wind all to the groundF
I stared at its trunk an empty mazeE
Ants and insects sleep aroundF
-
The end of life is in the startG
Yet the start only seen in the endH
To dust returnest dust thou artG
Maggots must feast upon thine fallI
