Behemoth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDE FFGGHHGIJJJJKLMNBA OO

He breathes vigour with his mouthA
The mighty BehemothB
Whose jaws can pierce an iron stopperC
Whose bones are mighty made of copperC
Whose limbs are like wrought iron rodsD
What a creation what a creator what a GodE
-
The hippopotamus eats grass like a bullF
And I think it takes days to be fullF
Till it quenches its mighty made jellyG
Like fearsome muscular bellyG
On the darkest islands where devils playH
Lies Behemoth's dinner for the dayH
Come dark afternoon you will seeG
Him lie down under the lotus treesI
When the lotus trees cast their shadowJ
Behemoth will fit in their shelter like a wealthy widowJ
He is fearless he is exhorbantJ
Under the darkest streams he is confidentJ
Under darkened light of the devil's torchK
In Eden Satan couldn't capture him in his watchL
He couldn't haunt him with his looksM
He couldn't piece his nose with a hookN
Even turbulent waters cannot disturb BehemothB
Nor the wreath of streams rushing against his mouthA
-
Where were you when LeviathanO
When Behemoth was placed in river JordanO
