| Our voices were mosquito repellent | I |
| With sounds that silenced night frogs | J |
| Never mind the heartbeat and wasted sweat | K |
| For I took every promise at the moment as an oath | L |

| Curse me forever castigate and cross out my history | P |

Poet's note: Millions of women are turned into single mothers at an early age and they end up making ends meet to provide for the children they have borne out of the failed and broken relationships. Mothers are suffering in meeting the demand to cater for basic needs of these children. Men seem u bothered in taking the responsibility of their children leaving women at risk. This is a growing trend in Africa and world wide
