Divided Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFF GHIJKF LMNOPL

We had broken down wallsA
Set as boundaries to keep the other outB
It took ages to shape map and planC
Our homes in divided territoriesD
We planted gardens together and tore downE
The fenceF
Said 'Mi casa e sun casa'F
-
Alas here we are yet againG
Walls up brick by brickH
Cemented Godforbid should they crackI
Garden fence chainedJ
If locking the doors were not enough we bolt themK
Ignore the door bells hide behind the curtainsF
Said we 'What's mine is not yours '-
-
Once we walked towards each otherL
Now you head east I look westM
No knocking on my door if teabags are neededN
I shall not come for coffeeO
Till when The next morrow Perhaps fortnightP
Maybe neverL
