We have all had him once.
Undeniable true love,
The kind that lasts a lifetime.
He loved me more than I did him.
He who looked upon me with adoring eyes.
He promised the world and never broke the vow.
Gave me the moon,
The world he set under my feet.
Never have I felt lovelier,
Never have I felt more worthy of love.
I loved him more as I saw how he loved.
Yet now he sings songs of memories in my head.
I suppose we were never meant to be.

Poet's note: Remembering Romeo is a story about the one who got away when in a healthy relationship . Sometimes in life it all ends with no abusive or negative energy. I was exploring how the human mind will never forget the one who taught you what love is.
