The Bleeding Wrist Watch Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHFHIJ JKLKKM NJJJJO

Lullabies of Old nightsA
Still ring in my earsB
Memories of my purchaseC
Still hurt like tearsD
The pulse of your wrist still feltE
A dream came true now lost in this nightmareF
-
Backbone of your virtues and prioritiesG
Well rated I was like African spicesH
At present you walk without careF
Hitting walls breaking me to slicesH
My ticking noise never salivate you at noonI
My alarm never wakes you up at sunriseJ
-
Indeed Jewels rings and piercingsJ
Replaced your passionK
Eyes happy tears and breathL
With new chemistry of fashionK
Pushing away victory of wars we wonK
Scratches and wounds I bear for youM
-
Are you still blindedN
Or soaked in a river of beadsJ
Felt the absence of your eyesJ
Inclination and good deedsJ
The energy inside your resilienceJ
Off to no avail Ticking slow and slowO

Poet's note: People change just like a ticking wrist watch, some survive a test of time while other leave in suspense inflicting wounds of sadness. The poem is reflecting a painful experience of a persona who his/her energy in a relationship (friendship, dating, courtship, marriage) is unseen and underestimated. Maguru Poetry borrowed a concept of wrist watch and gave it a human character. I hope you will enjoy reading the poem.
