Rain, rain go away
The children joyfully sing
Go and come another day
Their games would be ruined
There comes another day
The dark clouds form up in the sky
The heavy winds battle the branches
Old John exits the shade of the oak
Rain, rain go away
The little ones gather on the yellow
Go and come another day
Again, their games would be ruined
O' let it rain
The poor farmer cries
Let it shower on the crops
So we may have a good yield
O' let it rain
Make the grass green
And let our gardens live again
For the grounds thirst
Should the rain go away
To allow the children play
And come again another day
To make the gardens green?
The children shall sing again
But now I ask
When should the rain fall?
And when should the little ones so weary be heard?
It's Up to Nature to decide
