Rhyme Scheme: ABCCAD EAEFG HHGIG HHJJKK HHKK L

She is lying hiddenA
Inside a pear shaped shellB
A rough rock hard outsideC
So porcelain white insideC
A safe havenA
For a delicate lifeD
-
Out of the blueE
In the Pacific OceanA
So blueE
Someone forced its wayF
In the oyster's sheltered territoryG
-
The invaderH
Is like a splinterH
It pricked her plump bodyG
That is so softI
And slimyG
-
Yet the invaderH
Was never ejected by the oysterH
Instead it was coatedJ
And treatedJ
With warmnessK
And kindnessK
-
The kind gestureH
Turned into an exquisite treasureH
A gem so marvelousK
A pearl so preciousK
-
