I traveled the worldA
For eighteen long yearsB
Wrapped in the armsC
Of loving parentsD
The sail was smoothE
That made lifeF
Worth living forG
-
They led meH
A sheltered lifeF
That they certainly knowI
The murmursJ
Of my heartK
Even the deepest secretL
That lurks insideM
-
Today has comeN
For meH
To be emancipatedO
Away from the clutchesP
Of their authorityH
Yet I amQ
In quandaryH
-
Glad thatR
I can walk aloneS
The path of lifeF
Without a caneT
And make a markU
Of my ownS
-
Still my heartK
Is fretfulV
And afraidW
That I might notX
Make on my ownS
All aloneS
-
But my loving parentsD
Have impartedO
A fortuneY
A disciplineY
Solid as a rockZ
That I can hold ontoA2
For lifeF
