When I was fourA
I used to tell my grandmotherB
'' Who cares about ghostsC
My mother is a ghostbuster ''D
-
I was in Grade oneE
When I bragged to everyoneE
''Who cares about the stormF
Lightning and thunderB
If you are with yourA
Fearless motherB
-
Time flew by so fastG
I was in Grade sixH
And I saidI
''Who cares about the bulliesJ
My mother is always at my side ''-
-
My mother told meK
''Bullies are weak personsL
Hiding in their own fearsM
Take them onN
Face onN
Head on ''-
-
I did what she saidI
And formed themO
As a crownP
To adorn my headI
-
I was eighteenQ
And I beganR
A mark of my ownS
A hardball was thrownS
I felt like a loose bouyT
Drifting out of the oceanE
-
My dear motherB
Was right thereU
Hold me more than any treasureB
In the worldV
Kept me safe from the tides and wavesW
-
She forewarned meK
That blustery windX
Is yet to comeY
And she encouraged meK
To be firmly anchoredZ
-
Her thinkingsW
And teachingsW
I always wear themO
As diamond pendantsW
For my necklaceW
