They usually sayA
You are not that prettyB
Short flat noseC
Wrinkled faceD
And eyes that are dark and buggyB
-
But to usE
You are a beautyB
Your unique and comical featuresF
Set you at parG
With everyoneH
In the canine familyB
-
We saw you from a breederI
You have many siblingsJ
And it was difficult to chooseK
From a litterI
Of pug puppiesL
-
But you like to show offM
And came to us by surpriseN
Looked at usE
With your globular eyesN
That were full of fire and smilesO
-
We were so excitedP
We carried youQ
Your square and compact bodyB
Fitted into oursF
It warmed us insideR
-
Your creamy thick coatS
Shed heavilyB
The glossy small hairT
Stuck into our velvetyB
Black dressesU
And turned themV
Into salt and pepperI
-
We took you homeW
And named you Annie FifiB
You are so good friendlyB
Like the sunburstB
You shine through our heartsX
-
No one could ever surpassY
The loyalty and protection you gave usE
Every waking moment in our livesZ
We felt safeA2
By your sideB
-
Now you are oldB
Mostly blind and deafB2
Your time is nearC2
Towards its endB
And still you brightenH
Our daysD2
-
If you could feel our heartsX
You will surely knowE2
That all we wantB
Is what is best for youQ
To make your worldB
A happy placeD
-
Annie FifiB
A familyB
You are a great blessingF2
From the one aboveG2
