Once long time ago a Lady of grace and eleganceA
her child and spouse in glamorous remembranceA
Chillingham Castle in its prime of residence and tragicB
Lord Grey in spell of love by Mary s sister Henrietta s magicB
-
Heartbroken and in despair with baby girl aloneC
took her life and child falling from the tower like a stoneC
The Castle already haunted by spirits from the dungeonD
crying female voices and rotten smells very pungentE
-
In her beautiful dress she walks the dark corridorF
surging in courteous fate for her husband thereforeG
A friend of mine and phenomenon fanaticB
invited me to this Chillingham Castle haunt ecstaticB
-
We arrived at a misty midday overwhelmedH
are those spirits already aware of our intendI
Walking in this majestic place through historyJ
feeling chased by my own step noise mysteryJ
-
I dreamed that night to be with Lady MaryJ
holding her porcelain face very waryJ
Such a sweet and gorgeous virtuous soulK
slowly turning her veins into color coalK
-
Waking up I feel in love with this beautyJ
wanted to know all her historic dutyJ
Warned by my friend of ghost camouflageL
nothing more but an emotional mirageL
-
My mind played all searching possibilityJ
convinced that my heart will change her debilityJ
To set her free from the pain of grieveM
giving her soul the deserved peace to receiveM
-
In my vain attempt I wrote a little prayerN
that with God one is never alone sooth sayerF
Stuck that note behind her portrait in goldO
believing that it has consequences boldO
-
Many months later I received a letter by courierF
with golden letters looking superiorF
Words of gratitude and faith to seeJ
I will wait for you my loveP
