It's been yearsA
Since I last wrote to youB
Today they're celebratingC
Celebrating Mother's DayD
What do I tell them about youB
-
Should I tell them thatE
You were my first and bestF
A first love who never broke my heartG
Nor thought of giving up on meH
The only one who made sureI
I was carried to sleep on her lapsJ
With a beautiful lullaby indeedK
Whose love felt enough but not for youB
So you poured more till it overflowedL
Until they say I'm mama's only childM
-
Should I tell them thatE
I am missing you beyond measureN
Where echoes can't be heardO
Where moments can't be tracedP
How do I tell them the storyH
Of the weight of losing youB
Just imagine today momQ
Someone asked if I miss youB
I didn't answer as I wanted notR
I blinked my eyes walked awayD
Then I whispered 'so much'S
Mom I just remembered somethingC
Happy Mother's Day in HeavenT
