__It's been years,
Since I last wrote to you.
Today they're celebrating,
Celebrating Mother's Day.
What do I tell them about you?

Should I tell them that,
You were my first and best,
A first love, who never broke my heart,
Nor thought of giving up on me.
The only one who made sure,
I was carried to sleep on her laps,
With a beautiful lullaby indeed.
Whose love felt enough but not for you,
So you poured more, till it overflowed,
Until they say I'm mama's only child.

Should I tell them that,
I am missing you beyond measure,
Where echoes can't be heard,
Where moments can't be traced.
How do I tell them the story,
Of the weight of losing you?
Just imagine, today mom,
Someone asked if I miss you,
I didn't answer as I wanted not,
I blinked my eyes, walked away,
Then I whispered, 'so much'.
Mom, I just remembered something,
Happy Mother's Day in Heaven.__
