Harrydus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCAA ADEFEGA HEAAIBJKL EMNOPNAQ ALARSEEE AAAKAFLL TUIVAWA

In the whispers of momentsA
I sat to listen to him his name was HarrydusA
A grandson of one of the old gone boysA
Who used to sit on the hilltop gazing a tranquil lakeB
An heir to a man who knew Christ wellC
A brother to some five little Akinyi's darlingsA
And he said as I penned his wordsA
-
I wish to seek forgivenessA
For I shattered hearts and betrayed trustD
Perhaps I yearned to fleeE
Escape from the expectations that weren't mineF
My father must have pondered over meE
As he would say do what you can defendG
But Dad I'm remorseful for straying off courseA
-
Amidst the bonds of friendshipH
In the pages of honestyE
I'm uncertain of my place in my friends' heartsA
I concede that my actionsA
May not suffice to reciprocateI
Or repay the selves they sacrificed for my sakeB
And here I am grappling with this lingering fearJ
That one day I might falterK
Letting them down and never finding redemptionL
-
Some chapters of my love storyE
Are etched boldly with her name as the headingM
What if I find myself in another's embrace tomorrowN
What if she regrets investing in me each dayO
I dread becoming her worst disillusionmentP
If that were to happen may she knowN
She was and remains the pinnacle of my existenceA
The love I adorned who losing her would render love an empty termQ
-
In the echoes of my solitary musingsA
I yearn for the solace of absolutionL
Hoping for a chance to mend the fracturesA
To rebuild the trust I once carelessly fracturedR
And to emerge from the shadows of doubtS
As a beacon of unwavering sincerityE
Guiding those who once stood by meE
Through the tumultuous tides of uncertaintyE
-
As I pen these heartfelt confessionsA
I implore the fates for leniency and graceA
To grant me the strength to right my wrongsA
And the wisdom to cherish and nurtureK
The precious bonds that time cannot eraseA
For in the tapestry of life's intricate designF
I aspire to weave a legacy of redemptionL
Inscribed with the enduring ink of heartfelt contritionL
-
And when my time has comeT
I pray my name will endureU
As I make my way to heaven's gateI
May my deeds of contrition and loveV
Outshine the shadows of my transgressionsA
And may forgiveness pave my pathW
As I seek solace in the embrace of graceA
