Beyond The Lote-tree Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCDDAEDDFGEHIIA

BEYOND LOTE TREEA
-
The world of colours is nothingB
The black eyed gazelles are nothingB
I must renounce this flimsy worldC
I must not cast a glance upon the lusty damselsD
The real world is beyond my eyesD
Even beyond the Lote TreeA
Where the chosen lover travelled toE
The language of that world is beyond words and soundsD
No more sounds of couches and bellsD
There is nothing to say or to hearF
There is nothing to seek and searchG
No I and He No I and YouE
My lord wonderfully reveals thereH
I disappears here in absolute annihilationI
And God proclaims in affirmationI
Nothing exists except MeA
