I m at the Norman Manley International AirportA
It s around midday and we have a delayB
The other members of the team just left for the security postC
We must obtain a visitor pass to enter certain areasD
My car is parked in front of the Jamaica PostC
There s a no parking sign near meE
And we don t have official permission to park hereF
A red and white wrecker just drove byG
But fortunately my vehicle wasn t towedH
From where I m sitting I can t see any aircraftsI
I see a number of persons eating and conversingJ
-
It s such a hot day and I m thirstyE
I m going to get refreshment at the Dukunoo Den CafeB
The menu looks appetising and they have affordable pricesD
Anyway I m not here to buy lunchK
I ll just have a bottle of soda preferably a colaL
The service here is very slow thoughM
Security cameras are all over the placeN
There s a line for ordering and another line for collectingJ
An employee just came and took out the rubbishO
-
I m writing this poem about my visit to the airportA
While I m having this sweet drink with a strawP
I m now looking in the direction of the Digicel s cell towerQ
The passengers who have just arrived are awaiting transportationR
They have piles of luggage at their feetS
Some are waving papers with their names written on themT
There s a humorous graffiti that reads Going NutsU
My drink is finished and I feel like having another oneR
-
The guys just came back and they re ready to start workingJ
We re now heading over to the hangarQ
I ll be staying in the car park near the back of the waiting areaL
It s partially empty at this hourQ
I m standing beside a low wall right across from cargo bayB
I see helicopters and planes being servicedV
An Air Canada plane just took offW
It s getting smaller and smaller in the distanceX
And it swiftly turns and flies westY
-
It s fun to see the elderly boss riding an old bicycleZ
They ve completed the job and it s time to goM
The scales are restored to good working orderQ
We re now leaving the airport and heading back to Harbour ViewA2
The sea is on both sides of the strip of landB2
I m looking at the rocks and equipments along the wayB
While we re passing a section of the Palisadoes RoadH
