That Same Old Familiar Line Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CB DE BF BG

After we dance there s a chance that you might want to spend a little more time with meA
So I m trying to find some new words to say to you before the evening is throughB
-
I m thinking hard but darling even though I m making my best effortC
I still can t come up with something nicer than I love youB
-
I hope you won t mind me repeating that same old familiar lineD
You know the one that so many happy people in love often sayE
-
Darling I know that when I get close to you I ll end up saying I love youB
I want to tell you sweet words that you ve never heard beforeF
-
But I guess there s nothing sweeter to say to a special person than I love youB
So tonight I m depending on that same old familiar line to capture your precious heartG
