| It was a Monday morning and I had nothing to do | C |
| I couldn't cope with the trials of life anymore | D |
| Contentious people kept looking for trouble | E |
| I wanted to find happiness and serenity even for a day | F |
| So I left home in a hurry for a long walk | G |

| It was the first time I forgot to wear a mask | H |
| I bought one from a female vendor on the roadside | I |
| My shadow was right under my feet | J |
| I wasn't sure where I was going | K |
| But I had to go somewhere to meditate | L |
| I was walking aimlessly in the hot sun | M |
| Lots of vehicles drove past me along the way | F |

| I walked a few miles until I ended up at the park | N |
| There were many settings from which to choose | O |
| I sat on a hard bench near the walkway | F |
| A strong cool wind was blowing from the east | P |
| The limbs of the trees were shaking | K |
| I relaxed in the shade of the Bauhinia x Blakeana | M |

| A number of people were in the park | N |
| Some were sitting by themselves | Q |
| Others were sitting in twos and in groups | R |
| Children were playing everywhere | S |
| And there was a peaceful atmosphere | T |
| The lawn was covered with beautiful crabgrass | R |
| Oil palms were waving in the wind | A |

| I felt like writing something while I was there | S |
| And I wrote this poem about my experience | R |
| I spent exactly four hours in the park | N |
| The time slipped away faster than I expected | U |
| I didn't intend to leave the location so soon | M |
| But I left when I received a phone call from someone | M |
