Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHI JJKLMBNO POAQCCRS

You were not at the office when I went thereA
The bouquet I left on your desk you threw it awayB
And you tore up the greeting card I sent youC
When I called you the answering machine saidD
Please leave your name and a message after the toneE
We had a dinner engagement for p mF
But you did not show up at the Chinese restaurantG
I felt so embarrassed I had to order another drinkH
The waiter smiled when I said my date was lateI
-
You are upset because I played with your emotionJ
But I think you are overreacting to the situationJ
This sort of thing happens in life once in a whileK
You did not have to go and stay at your dad's old cottageL
Why did you take your belongings and leaveM
You are not to blame for the silly games that lovers playB
I noticed you left your favourite magazines and CDsN
You will be back sooner than you think sweetieO
-
I tried everything I could to prevent you from leavingP
But you got in your Mercedes and drove off angrilyO
I walked along Bamboo Avenue alone in despairA
If you move in back with me I would make things rightQ
My lady love just tell me what you want me to doC
Tell me how I can satisfactorily make it up to youC
Everyone has to go through the vicissitudes of loveR
And sometimes we all must play love s silly gamesS
