Lonely Weekend Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHICI JKILMNOHPQR

Ma ch rie I am alone with thoughts of you tonightA
It is so cold and windy out here on deckB
And I wish that you were here to give me solaceC
Joanna I miss you every day of the weekD
But there is something in a weekend that makesE
Me miss you more than any other timeF
I know it will not be long until I see you againG
But I am so impatient to be close to youH
I am spending another lonely weekend at seaI
I can barely grapple with the drearinessC
But I must endure the loneliness and keep my sanityI
-
I called you so I could hear your native accentJ
And I shall say je t aime before I hang upK
On this lonely weekend I need you beside meI
My ship will soon arrive at the harbourL
And you will be there to welcome me homeM
I shall stroll with you on the misty dockN
And we will watch the French waves roll to shoreO
I shall feel your heartbeat when I kiss youH
And I shall miss your love when my ship departsP
I want to take you with me on my next voyageQ
So I can spend the weekend with the one I loveR
