Itty Bitty Pye Da Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A ABCDEF DAGAHI DJKLMN ODPQQR SDATDD

For ChelseaA
-
I know an adorable little girl name ChelseaA
She s the daughter of a friend of mineB
The little girl loves me so muchC
She loves me more than she loves her real fatherD
Her love for me is unbelievableE
Nobody has ever seen anything like thisF
-
I can t even begin to express the way I love herD
She gets so excited when she sees meA
Her little feet move so fast when she s caperingG
She told everyone that I was her daddyA
How I wish her words were trueH
I hope jealousy of me hasn t filled her dad s heartI
-
She seriously wants me to adopt herD
When she s spending a day at my homeJ
She shows conspicuous happinessK
And she cries when it s time to leaveL
She never spoke about her mom or her siblingsM
This is something I don t understandN
-
She was a smart child when she was two years oldO
Her mom taught her Itsy Bitsy SpiderD
However she could only say Itty bitty pye daP
When she s counting from one to fiveQ
She grins and says Wa tui twee foy fyQ
Every time she says it I ask her to say it againR
-
Whenever I see her I m deeply hurtS
It does more harm than good when I hug herD
She s standing right beside meA
I m holding her affectionately in my armsT
But in my mind I don t have herD
I become sad because she s not my daughterD
