Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH| Kings and queens do not regard themselves as being equal to other people | A |
| But that does not make them better human beings than the peasants | B |
| In the foolish imaginations of kings and queens they are high and mighty | C |
| Moreover royalties seem to forget that they are just mortal beings | D |

| Who in this world can prevent the occurrence of sickness aging and death | E |
| Death is not concerned about whether a person is wealthy or poor | F |
| And neither will death spare anybody no matter the status of the person | G |
| Unfortunately nobody will escape the sting of death when the time comes | H |
