Busybodies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDEF GAHI JKLM BGNB OCPQ

You can tell that she s feigning affection for himA
He s such a fool to be in love with herB
That s what people say when they see us togetherB
They don t know how we feel about each otherB
-
People gossip and say these things about youC
She s definitely up to no good and he s blind to itD
She s just a gold digger like most of the other girlsE
But darling I see you differently in my eyesF
-
The busybodies make these remarks about meG
He must be out of his mind to think she loves himA
He won t find happiness with her in his lifeH
We can t allow them to destroy our relationshipI
-
Some nosey parkers in the community sayJ
What is a teenage girl doing with a middle aged manK
She should find someone in her age group to dateL
But that s the last thing you want to hearM
-
They stare at us and speak low to one anotherB
I m not daunted by what people think about meG
Backbiters should mind their own businessN
They re jealous of me because I have a young loverB
-
The way I love you today will never changeO
Even if the things they say about you are trueC
They re in no position to criticise our loveP
For they don t have a better love than oursQ
