Antessa And I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDBEFG HIBJAC CKLMNO PQFKRS

Inspired by a photographA
-
Antessa and I are standing near the rockB
We are posing for the photographerC
Beautiful flowers embellish the gardens around usD
She turns her back to the rockB
I put my left hand around her waistE
And I gently pull her to my sideF
Crabgrass covers the spot where our feet areG
-
The Assembly Hall is visible in the backdropH
Scores of people are walking about on the premisesI
I press my posterior against the rockB
I cross my legs and turn my head sidewaysJ
As if I am taking a candid photographA
She is looking straight at the sister in front of herC
-
It is the first time we are taking a picture togetherC
We are anticipating the best possible outcomeK
The heat of July is almost unbearableL
Her outer garment is shaking in the stiff breezeM
There is an attractive motif on her scarfN
And she is wearing a fashionable handbagO
-
The photo shoot lasts for just a momentP
And we certainly treasure every second of itQ
Lunchtime is up and we have to go insideF
I courteously escort her to a seat in the auditoriumK
We sit quietly and listen to the preludeR
And we wait for the afternoon session to beginS
