Defying the odds her spirit taking flightD

From thrift store treasures to shoes on her feetF

A symbol of resilience she cannot hideG

Portraying her reality her hopes and her dreamsI

Through hardships and setbacks she rises aboveK
Her determination fueled by a heart full of loveK

Helping others see the beauty in their fightG

Inspiring others to rise and copeL

Though some may judge her by the light of dayG
They fail to see the strength that's on displayG
For within this ghetto girl there lies a power so trueM
A force to be reckoned with a spirit that grewM

So let us celebrate the ghetto girl's graceC
Her resilience her spirit her captivating paceC
For she is a symbol of strength and defianceN
