Tz'u No. 10 (exile) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDE FGG HBG IJK

To the tune of Bodhisattva AliensA
-
Soft breezes mild sunshineB
spring is still youngC
The sudden change of the lightD
brightened my spiritE
-
But upon awakening from slumberF
I felt the chill airG
The plum flower withered in my hairG
-
Where can I call my native landH
Forget I cannot except in wineB
when I drown my careG
-
Incense was lighted when I went to sleepI
Though the embers are now coldJ
the warmth of wine still burns onK
