And hard labour paid with meagre wages | C |
While morals and truth are dead hated | B |

The air is strong with the odour of crimes | D |
And the culprits dance to the tune of ruin | E |
Feigning the harrowing signs of the times | D |
And leading their ways in a life of sin | F |

The simple route that once led to the bliss | G |
Has turned our ways in a muddle of pride | H |
Where justice and virtue are found amiss | G |
And the folk by the law no longer abide | H |

The 'sense' in the 'commonsense' is long lost | I |
But man out of greed forgets his input | J |
In the havoc caused and now counts the cost | K |
Then blames his boot for the faults of his foot | J |

The balloon of the vices swells year by year | L |
When the left sins the right gets the blame | M |
Now the garment of pride is torn in the rear | L |
So the world could see the shame of its name | M |

The faults in the land have hit the sky | N |
The sun rises all the way from the west | O |
The shadow of pain is falling from the high | N |
So the world is knit like fibres of the nest | O |

But the end of the mess will soon arrive | P |
When the crooks will reap their sad harvest | Q |
When the effort of the honest would thrive | P |
To return the legal mandate of the rest | O |
