A hand lent in times quite drowning.
A song sang in thoughts so troubling.
A seed well planted...
To grow and give life to a beautiful smile.
The much needed light,
To continuously fight the darkness,
And the kind of sight,
To effortlessly ease the sadness.
You are mighty and fearless,
For you have seen a soul so broken...
And walked right in,
To restore and to shield.
A rare breed...
That makes the world want to meet,
And build a generation of men,
As bold and powerful as you are!
You do the things that a knight might,
And give the dreams that a night can't.
A captain covered in ink,
Sailing a boat that will never sink.
The Knighting
Julie Rose Hlongoane
Poet's note: This poem was actually written by Julie (The younger twin) for a man in her life .He found her so broken and gave her hope, and made her realise that there's always light at the end of the tunnel and that there'll be falls, but one has to always keep moving. She is knighting him for the role he has played and is still playing in her life.
