Addiction Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH

Daily I search the scriptureA
Because I'm scared of raptureA
Before me lies my addictionB
Though not against my traditionB
-
The troubles of life weigh me downC
Fate has pushed me up and downC
My sorrows and worries multiplyD
Responsibilities I can't supplyD
-
Family and friends have deserted meE
Like Job's wife in suffering she let me beE
I have realized my mollies and folliesF
Never you judge my jollies and dolliesF
-
Salvation lies in the Holy BookG
Though I smoke I read and lookG
Ekwensu seeks to own my soulH
In faith Jesus will make me wholeH
