What doesn't kill makes one stronger, they say,
But this one weakens me—Mum, can you see me?
You're not here, but I believe you’re listening,
Your love still lingers, though the light is missing.
I stumble through shadows, searching for you,
The days feel heavier, the nights cold and blue.
Each memory whispers, each echo refrains,
That love transcends even the deepest of pains.
I hear your laughter in the rustling trees,
Your warmth in the sun, your voice in the breeze.
Though life has robbed me of your embrace,
I find you in the stars, in every sacred space.
So, Mum, can you see me? I hope you do,
I carry your strength as I journey through.
Your absence may weaken, but your spirit sustains,
A love unbroken by life’s cruel chains.
