Rhyme Scheme: ABCDCE FBGHIJK LMNKO EPJQRSTKUK MTVK WXYZA2B2

I hear a little cryA
Is it not from that dark fieldB
The sound shuttles meC
The pitch comes loud and clearD
I guess a ladyC
But I can't see herE
-
I ask with my choking voiceF
Who is that in the fieldB
Crying without little helpG
When the scene loves silenceH
Is it you mamaI
Why are you whistlingJ
From such a cold venueK
-
Come out and say it allL
Tell the beautiful treesM
Why you are wailing nowN
They gonna give youK
The little help you needO
-
I hear the trees whisperE
You are their best friendP
I hear them singJ
How they helped you escapeQ
Mama you escaped a terrible trapR
When the hyena had comeS
They had to keep you safeT
He wanted to hurt youK
And give you a little markU
Pray God he didn't find youK
-
-
Mama why do you cut the treesM
They kept you safeT
Why do you trim the branchesV
They hideth youK
-
Come out of the bushW
Come let's irrigate more and moreX
Or do they irritateY
If so come and plan your deathZ
They gonna give you the bestA2
The best send you deserveB2
