Rhyme Scheme: ABCDBD EFGEEH IJEBKL MNOPQR STUVWX

I rose early morningA
Rushed for a showerB
To prepare for the worshipC
Of once I thought was lateD
For almost an hourB
I was far from my gateD
-
I prayed on the wayE
The Bible on my palmF
I felt it warmG
To sing and prayE
But what a playE
The stranger on my sideH
-
Who are youI
He asked with a smileJ
And hoped for a sayE
I smelled some laughterB
But sympathy it wasK
The man was lameL
-
I answered aloudM
The follower of Christ I'mN
He hold my handO
And gave it a coinP
I grabbed it and prayedQ
As I gave him a noteR
-
A warm smile I sawS
The man cheered to the endT
My appeal be oneU
Help the lame the needy they areV
May God bless them allW
He who give and helpX
