I rose early morning
Rushed for a shower
To prepare for the worship
Of once , I thought was late,
For almost an hour
I was far from my gate
I prayed on the way
The Bible on my palm
I felt it warm
To sing and pray
But what a play
The stranger on my side
Who are you
He asked with a smile
And hoped for a say
I smelled some laughter
But sympathy it was
The man was lame
I answered aloud
"The follower of Christ I'm"
He hold my hand
And gave it a coin
I grabbed it and prayed
As I gave him a note
A warm smile I saw
The man cheered to the end ,
My appeal be one
Help the lame , the needy they are
May God bless them all
He who give and help.
