My Life Before Midnight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABA CBDED FGHAI JAABK

The day looks brightA
May i live before eveningB
Since no light will be on my sightA
When the sun be sinkingB
Just before the gloom stars lightA
-
I wish to recordC
My plans before eveningB
The good works of charityD
To help and instill moralsE
Moreso to this advanced societyD
-
I wish to trimF
The old lamps of my ancestorsG
As much as I canH
To make them lightA
Just the best I can do as the times count shortI
-
I wish to purchaseJ
Enough oil for the nightA
To keep them tightA
The little candles be burningB
With hope of the midnight trumpet soundK
