My Life Before Midnight
The day looks bright
May i live before evening
Since no light will be on my sight
When the sun be sinking
Just before the gloom stars light
I wish to record
My plans before evening
The good works of charity
To help and instill morals
Moreso to this, advanced society
I wish to trim
The old lamps of my ancestors
As much as I can
To make them light
Just the best I can do, as the times count short
I wish to purchase
Enough oil for the night
To keep them tight
The little candles be burning
With hope of the midnight trumpet sound.
