You have gone
Far beyond my sight
It is dark, my eyes are wet
I see no hope ,the little hope is gone
I feel no warm , your absence is a gap
How can I live to rejoice
When laughter and joy has fade
It is a few hours now ,
when I had it ring
It has rang again ,with sympathy and gloom
I hear the sound of the drum
Yes, that old drum
For days and years ago
We heard it and felt it
But now ,it is growing worse
It spares none ,not even the innocent
From the streets, there's a cry
It is growing louder
Two children are crying
They have no comfort
Oh ! why this drum
I hear it whisper, that golden trumpet
From a far distance
It sounds better,
I admire the tone , the tune and the theme
In it , there's a promise
That living trumpet, Christ blows it .
