Trust In God Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEEFEFE| Deep trust in God for that I still have sought | A |
| Through all the grim doubts that bemock the soul | B |
| When in the amazement of far reaching throught | A |
| We list the labourings that for ever roll | B |
| Like dubious thunders through those clouded regions | C |
| Where night and destiny the counsels keep | D |
| Of Time developing his shadowy legions | C |
| And when I ve stood upon some hazardous steep | D |
| Of speculation heaving up its bare | E |
| And rugged ridge high in the nebulous air | E |
| Of endless change and thence tremendously | F |
| Throwing its shadow like a blind man s stare | E |
| Out through the dread unknown deep trust in Thee | F |
| O God Hath likewise been my refuge there | E |
