Summer School Days Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCB DEBEE FGEEH IJKLJ

The joy to rise to the summer mornA
When birds sing with joy with meB
On the branches of every treeB
And the sky lark rattle sweet rhymesC
O What a sweet companyB
-
But summer morn schoolD
Drives all joy awayE
Under a cruel eye outwornB
Little ones spend the dayE
In sighing and dismayE
-
Ah How can the birdF
Born for joy sit in a cage and singG
For the joy is blown awayE
By sorrow and cares dismayE
Worn thro' with the dreary showerH
-
How shall the summer arise in joyI
Or do summer tree goodies appearJ
How do we gather what grief destroysK
Or bless the mellowing momentL
When does the blast of the winter appearJ
