Seasons Of Love 4: The Moon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CCCC DBBD EEFF

In the lonely dark night hanged the moon in the skyA
And we looked to the moonlight that shineth so brightB
And my love like the moonlight we will never say goodbyeA
For the beauty of the moon lies not with the lightB
-
But the moon as they say doesn't stay bright all dayC
And its light like the rose is soon to fade awayC
And troubles will come but troubles don't stayC
Darling like the moon we will prosper if we mayC
-
And the moon as they say it belongs to the sunD
If the sun so decides it will stay dark all nightB
And darling like the moon we depend in God's lightB
By his will and love our lives have begunD
-
I should take you to the cliff by the beautiful seaE
And beautiful stars in the night we will seeE
But the moon in the summer will always stay blackF
But darling still we'll fly to the moon and backF
