| I can bet and say he was one best poet | A |
| Now in every objection and understanding | B |
| I can fully say he was outstanding | B |
| He had his first time service as a fighter | C |
| But later realized to the sword the pen was mightier | C |
| And as cleverly and possibly soon | D |
| He saw his gift was to write books | E |
| He wrote about his war experiences too | F |
| And for those he had OVER TO YOU | F |
| But being much talented then | G |
| This one I think was good in writing for children | H |
| He wrote of THE PIG and THREE LITTLE PIGS | I |
| Known with houses of bricks straws and twigs | I |
| And as outstanding in history | J |
| He wrote CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY | J |
| He explored lessons in animals known to be vile | K |
| For example Crocky Wock THE CROCODILE | K |
| And then with an inspiring vision | H |
| He wrote how lives were destroyed by THE TELEVISION | H |
| He taught a good lesson to the driver | C |
| Yet with Michael Fish THE HITCH HIKER | C |
| And he wrote how funny | J |
| Michael Fish made his money | J |
| And how interesting in the woods | L |
| The Wolf was shot by MISS RED RIDING HOOD | M |
| And he wrote of the need | N |
| For our children to read | O |
| And how Farmer Bland the butcher the foe | P |
| Was ate by Piggy from head to toe | P |
| And all in a shock | Q |
| Not to leave out Crocky Wock | Q |
| Now with pride I say in all | R |
| My legend is Roald Dahl | S |
