Lachrymose 4: Exodus Of Hope Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAA BABB CDCC DCDE FGFH

Thy heart is stiff and like a desert dryA
Thy hath engraved thy tombstone's nameB
Thy should not ask a blowing willow whyA
Thy good God knows you made yourself to dieA
-
See life and joy for you hath never been the sameB
Thy stand each day and ev'ry minute cryA
Thy wanted but a life of kingly fameB
A shortcut death now who are ye to blameB
-
Lachrymose Hath been thy slave and kingC
Lachrymose That hath defined thine lifeD
And now you curseth the black crow that singC
Thy sang of death and death has such a stingC
-
A letter writ now jot thee to thine wifeD
About your life about your everythingC
Thy history about thine sin and strifeD
The first line had her say she's heard enoughE
-
My prime of youth is frozen with my faultsF
My feast of joy hath happiness a gapG
My crop of corn is tares availing naughtsF
My wasted life An exodus of hopeH
