Lachrymose 3: Lachrymal Ages Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHG IIFF

A heart like a tombstone stiff and dryA
A crow atop a willow calls thine nameB
For thine pains and sufferings you stand and cryA
Love and hate has been the sameB
-
And life like death and hope like fearC
Ages of lachrymose wilt define thine lifeD
Four seasons of suffering every yearC
A tombstone engraved a name of sin and strifeD
-
Who will ever live a life as fullE
For all destiny is broken and shuttered in a shadeF
Ages of lachrymose are stories of SheolE
Let us not hold back For death we was madeF
-
For rejection too For loneliness moreG
Loneliness and rejection is our story and fateH
As a man in Gaol once said beforeG
'All life my son is a story of hate '-
-
I sought my death and found it in my wombI
I trod the earth and knew it was my tombI
I realized that life is but a shadeF
And now I die And now I was but madeF
