Vile Art Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFA

Wickedness plain witcheryA
A withdrawal from the way of wisdomB
For when you will to wait a whileC
You only wallow more in wildernessD
For one must have withdrawn the written writE
While he knows not what's on the wayF
And then wades down the wearying chamberA

Poet's note: The poem condemns Wickedness comparing it to witchcraft practices. The poet sees wickedness as a deviation from the "way of wisdom". The end of wicked people from the spiritual point of view is frustration and damnation as the damned soul wades down to hell fire, the wearying chamber.
