Vile Art

Wickedness, plain witchery
A withdrawal from the way of wisdom
For when you will to wait a while
You only wallow more in wilderness.
For one must have withdrawn the written writ
While he knows not what's on the way
And then wades down the wearying chamber.

Poet's note: The poem condemns Wickedness comparing it to witchcraft practices. The poet sees wickedness as a deviation from the "way of wisdom". The end of wicked people from the spiritual point of view is frustration and damnation as the damned soul wades down to hell fire, the wearying chamber.
